The independent Vineta Pavilion represents the myth of the sunken city Vineta during the Biennale di Venezia 2017.
Vineta Pavilion stands for a fresh understanding of art and sees art as an independent value which is not relying on nations, art organizations and market trends.
Representing a pavilion of an imaginary place with its own history that has inspired a lot of different artists (e. g. Joh. Brahms, Chr. Morgenstern, H. Heine and J. Soyfer) for centuries, Vineta Pavilion will question the surrounding reality of countries with man-made borders that seem to become the limits of our cultural minds as well.
